In the past, players have had to hold the shoulder buttons on their controller (LB + RB on Xbox and L1 + R1 on PlayStation) while holding B/ Circle (the shoot button). Your player would then drive a shot low across the ground and, ideally, into one of the corners to make it incredibly hard for the goalkeeper to save it. However, with the introduction of the power shot in FIFA 23, which uses this input method for low-driven shots in past FIFA games, the way you go about doing them in the latest entry in the EA Sports series has changed.

FIFA 23 Low-Driven Shot Control Inputs on Xbox & PlayStation

To perform a low-driven shot, you’ll need to power up your shot by pressing and holding B/ Circle to between 20 and 30 percent on your power bar. Release the shoot button, and you’ll fire off a low and fast shot at goal. Getting the amount of power just right will take a little bit more skill and practice than pressing and holding the shoulder buttons as in the previous year. Whether they’ll be as effective as just using the new Power Shot, though, remains to be seen. It’s worth knowing how to score low-driven shots because some objectives in Ultimate Team may require you to score using them, as was the case in previous entries in FIFA. Again, whether EA Sports will opt to instead have players use the Power Shot instead, though, remains to be seen. That’s everything you need to know on how to score low-driven shots in FIFA 23.
